 The sexual escapades of a 65-year-old man with five minors, two of whom he impregnated in the process, has landed him in the full grips of the law.

The accused, Davis Kwadwo Danso, a lotto writer who lives in his kiosk at Konka Dome, was arrested by the Madina Domestic Violence and Victims’ support Unit (DOVVSU) when the complainant, Agnes Boamah, headmistress of Anglican Primary School at Dome, reported the case to the police for investigations.

Presenting the facts of the case, the Prosecutor, ASP Sarah Acquah of DOVVSU, said the incident was unraveled when one of the victims (name withheld), aged 13, and a class five pupil of the above-mentioned school, who lives with her parents at Dome got impregnated by the accused.

According to ASP Acquah, during the early part of 2011, the victim was introduced to the accused person by a classmate who had dropped out of school because she had been impregnated by the accused.
After their first encounter, the accused encouraged the victim to visit him regularly. He gave the victim various sums of money anytime she visited.

However, on the February 25, 2012 at about 4:00pm when the victim visited the accused, the latter forcibly had sex with the victim and warned her not to inform anyone about the incident. The accused continued to lure the victim with money and took advantage of her anytime she visited.

The last time he had sex with her was on May 6, this year, ASP Acquah said. However, the next day, May 7, the complainant noticed unusual changes in the victim and questioned her. It was through questioning that the victim revealed the sexual activities of the accused.
The victim mentioned that the accused had also had sex with some of her mates (names withheld) aged 12 and 15.

In their respective statements, the victims confirmed the allegation and indicated that the accused have been having sex with them since last year.

The victims also disclosed that the accused also had sex with one other pupil of Dome M/A Experimental School and also attempted to have sex with another pupil.

The accused however, pleaded not guilty to all five counts of charges of defilement preferred against him. The presiding Judge, Ms Sedinam Agbemava, adjourned the case to June 7, this year after remanding the accused in prison custody.

All the victims have been medically examined and treated.

The RTP Awards is aimed at recognizing and rewarding seasoned Radio and TV personalities who have over the years contributed immensely towards the development of the industry in Ghana, and have also endeared themselves to listeners and viewers.

This year’s event, which is the second edition, will be held on the theme: “Media for Peace for Election 2012”, and the award ceremony is slated for June 23, 2012 at the Accra International Conference Center.

It is being organized by Big Events Ghana and will bring together top notch radio and TV personalities across the world.

The RTP Awards which was birthed last June saw a lot of outstanding radio and television personalities being honoured for their contributions towards creating a vibrant media culture in Ghana.

For this year, the public are expected to vote their favorite personalities. Organisers of the event say winners for each category will be presented with a colourful award and a brand new home theatre.

Winners will be adjudged by 60% public votes with 40% to be decided by a committee.

KEKO real names Keko Jocelyn Travis is a young up and coming Hip hop star from Uganda whose rise to fame came early this year (2010) with the releases of ‘’Fallen heroes’’ a duet with the Hip hop canvas 2010 ''How we do'' and her first single Alwoo(cry for help).

Born on June 3rd to Japadhola parents from Tororo, the self proclaimed Queen of RAP has since collaborated on a number of songs with numerous Ugandan artistes from Juliana to Joanita kawalya also including the much acclaimed ‘’ Go Green’’a climate change awareness song with Angela Katatumba.

Stella was born in Kenya in 1986 and immigrated to Norway five years later, Stella realized her potential in music already at the age of six.

 Her Break into the African Hip Hop scene came in 2005 when she worked with a Senegalese Hip Hop group called Wagable on their debut album S´enegal´ produced by Rumblin Music. She performed on two of their songs 'Babylon' and 'Do it' which topped the charts in Senegal and Gambia for several weeks. The album scooped the best album of the year in Senegal for 2005.

In Kenya Stella has worked with top Hip Hop artists such as Mishelle, Abas Kubaff, Kantai and reggae artist Ousman. In 2006 she got five nominations in the Chaguo La teeniz Awards in Kenya, at that point she had been on the Kenyan music scene for only three months. She did not win on that occasion but it propelled her to win in the KISIMA Awards three months later for the best new and promising artist. In December 2006 Stella performed at the MTV Alert event in Nairobi, Kenya.
